At Bark Boot camp Training, we ADHERE TO the STANDARDS OF PRACTICE established by reputable organizations that oversee dog training and behavior.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Bark Boot Camp Trainers are dedicated to the well-being and training of your beloved pets. That's why we emphasize the tremendous importance of following the Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive (LIMA) structure, which comes highly recommended by two reputable organizations, namely the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior and the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. Our approach centers around the utilization of positive reinforcement techniques to shape your dog's behavior, ultimately leading to a well-behaved and obedient companion. However, it's essential to note that we don't limit ourselves exclusively to positive reinforcement; we also incorporate other reinforcement methods to establish a solid structure for your dog's training journey.

FAQs
Where do Lessons Take place?
Bark Boot Camp is dedicated to putting in extensive effort and strategic planning to expand our business operations and establish a physical facility where we can better serve our clients. At present, our training sessions will continue to be conducted at public parks/areas or in the convenience of your own home.
what is positive reinfoecement?
To put it simply, positive reinforcement increases the likelihood of a behavior by rewarding good behavior through incentives, while negative punishment complements this approach. Oh no, I understand that the term "punishment" may sound intimidating, but fret not! In this context, punishment is merely defined as not rewarding or reinforcing negative behavior. By withholding rewards for bad behavior, we encourage a focus on positive actions and foster a harmonious training environment.
What Do you mean by “positive'‘?
Every dog trainer will have a different definition of what they consider to be “positive." In our case, when we say positive, we are emphasizing our commitment to the well-being of your furry friend. Our methods prioritize humane and gentle approaches that minimize any potential harm, both physically and emotionally. Unlike some trainers who may rely on prong collars, choke chains, or shock collars as their go-to solutions, we firmly believe in exploring alternative methods first. Although we acknowledge that certain complex cases might necessitate the careful use of such tools, our primary goal remains to employ strategies that prioritize your dog's comfort and overall welfare.
what is lima?
When it comes to training dogs, the Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive approach is highly valued. This philosophy focuses on using positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors and reducing the reliance on punishment. By emphasizing the use of rewards and incentives, trainers aim to create a pleasant learning environment that promotes both the physical and emotional well-being of the dog. This method recognizes the importance of nurturing a strong bond between the dog and the trainer, fostering a cooperative and mutually respectful relationship. The principle of Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive underscores the belief that dogs respond best when they feel safe, happy, and motivated.
